Getting Started (Quick Start Guide)
A quick start guide is available which shows the critical steps your agency needs to take to start using the DuPage County Circuit Clerk e-Citation system. This guide covers everything from officer configuration to IT related printing or firewall information.

Printer Setup
The e-Citation software supports printing on either 8.5 X 11 printers or 4” wide continuous printing (ZEBRA). 8.5 X 11 printers should generally work without any specific configuration needed. The application generates e-Citations as a standard PDF. For the 4” wide thermal printers, it is critical that each laptop is configured within the printer manufacturer’s software to use the 4” paper size.

LEADS data is not populating into e-Citation
The “LEADS File Monitor” application must be installed and the service running to allow LEADS data to populate into the e-Citation application.
- Verify if LEADS File Monitor is running. Check your windows system tray for the icon.
- If you do not see the application running, you may need to have IT install it on your machine. The LEADS File Monitor application can be downloaded from within the e-Citation application by logging in as any officer. The download link is located in the top right menu.
- Open the LEADS File Monitor app by double-clicking the icon from your Windows system tray or by locating it in your programs list. Verify that the application is “started”.
LEADS returns are not appearing for new officers in field training.
- During field training if you add a FTO into MPS in addition to the officer in training then all LEADS queries come back as the FTO and not the officer in training.
- This can result in 27/28's not appearing in drop down lists in eCitation.
- During field training only, remove the CAD Employee number from the IUCS officer record for the officer in training. This will result in all LEADS queries for the entire department appearing in their list so they can issue tickets while in training with the FTO.
White screen appearing and officers unable to access the e-Citation system
The eCitation application does not currently support being installed as a browser app. Doing so can result in a white screen appearing and officers unable to access the system.
